The Melancholy Preset Pack by Kate → 3 FREE PRESETS

Time to make your photos sad and gloomy - in the most aesthetic way possible, of course!

As summer unfolds into autumn, I gravitate towards a darker aesthetic when it comes to editing my content. I prefer desaturated colours, moodier vibes and overall a more grainy photo. Recently, I've had soooo many people ask that I release my current presets from my Instagram feed so, here they are!

MEET THE PACK:

→ RAINY - a minimal, cool-toned preset, with a lil bit of grain and dark, desaturated colours.

→ GLOOMY - as the name suggests, the focus is to keep your photos neutral whilst making some colours slightly warmer to create an earthy, damp atmosphere.

→ SOMBER - a virtual-wash of sadness over your pic - literally!

They will always need tweaking, depending on your hair colour, skin tone or other colours within the photo. I usually make greens more yellow, oranges darker, reds deeper and more saturated and blues and purples almost completely undetectable. I've also fallen in-love with grain and add wayyyyy too much to my images, so if it's a little too much for you, you can easily remove the grain to your liking.

Struggling to download the preset?

→ Make sure you have the free Lightroom app downloaded onto your phone.

→ Once you've "bought" your presets, you'll get an email containing the .zip file.

→ From there, open your email app on your phone (it's much easier this way!) and open the email containing the preset.

→ Then tap on the .zip file within the email.

→ Tap 'preview content' and then click the 'export button'.

→ Export each image into Lightroom and save them as a preset in the Lightroom app.

TOP TIP: save them into a new preset group called "The Melancholy Preset Pack" and then name each preset as their given name.

This will make finding and using your new presets so much easier.
